Tejada sucks
He just sucks. No rhyme or reason, no effort, nothing even moderately redeeming to his contract. I’m glad to see him go.

Rowand sucks
But, I’ll be the first to admit he did some good things. In the NLCS last year, he threw out a runner at the plate in game four and a few years ago, made a leaping, wall-crashing catch to save J. Sanchez’s no-hitter. He sucked, but hands down, he’s a total gamer that plays hard.

#WastedWheeler
Andrew Baggarly pointed this out on twitter: (…cause the game itself was too hard to watch with eyes.) Beltran has stranded 6 runners tonight. He struck out to leave two on in the third. He fouled out to leave runners on second and third in the fifth. And he grounded into a fielders’ choice with two on in the seventh. Wanna compare it? Pence has now put up another home run for the...

The low point of the season...
…has to be the top of the second in tonight’s game. Alfonso Soriano just hit the longest homerun I have ever seen at AT&T park in a live game. Cleared the left field bleachers just below the glove underneath the platform in left-center. Holy. Shit. Low point of the season. Reached. Lower than a fucking valley. Don’t believe me? Take it from two guys who catch almost every...

Miguel Te-dumbshit
Miguel Tejada is upset that Ron Wotus asked him to bunt the runner on first over to second in Sunday’s eleventh inning when the Giants were trailing by a run.  I’ve got to be honest. I can’t lie. I wasn’t happy to do it This is coming from a guy with a .268 OBP and a .324 slugging percentage. Clearly, bunting is about the only thing you can do, so even if you aren’t happy, suck it...

In two games...
Aubrey Huff has popped out, that’s the span of 8 at-bats, more times than Joey Votto has popped out in 1,011 at-bats in the last two years.  Bench Huff and DFA Rowand?  http://blogs.mercurynews.com/extrabaggs/2011/08/25/postgame-notes-the-time-for-hard-decisions-has-come/

Just two things
At least we’re not the pirates who began August only a half game out of first. They’ve now fallen to 14.5 games behind the central leading Brewers. The giants, for as bad as we’ve played are still within a series-win striking distance of the red hot Diamondbacks. And last year we had an ice cold Lincecum to worry about in our rotation. This year, its just the black hole known as...

I'm not an Indians fan but... →
…stories like these coming from the big leagues are few and far between. Constantly, the stories are more like Zambrano being a grade A bitch or ARod being the douchey playboy and gambling polemic other. Something like this is refreshing to lessen about. Class does still in fact exist. Synopsis: Indians teammates chipped in 35K to fly Hanahan back to his wife on time who was having a...

Hear that?
It’s the sound of the collective community of Giants’ bandwagoners from 2010, leaping off the wagon like someone on the Oregon Trail who saw their impending doom in treading the river ahead, leaping from their caravan. Me? Well, good riddance fairweather asshats. I’ll be here, though.

Our bench...
Literally consists of Mark Derosa and Eli Whiteside tonight. Schierholtz, Keppinger, Rowand, Romo, Beltran all out. Rowand trying like hella to loosen up tight muscle on left side of his body. Say what you will about his numbers but he’s a gamer. Torres already on DL.

So we've just started another
…solo homerun streak. Nate had one yesterday, Belt had two, Nate had another today and Fontenot just had a solo dinger too.

Jack McKeon needs to stfu Pt. 2
“Vogel… Volkswagen or whatever his name is — he’s lucky he didn’t have to face Drysdale or Gibson or one of those guys. You would get a shave and a haircut real quick.” A. His name is Vogelsong and he shat on your team’s feelings. B. This isn’t the fucking 1960’s. C. You’re a classless, out of touch dumb fuck ‘tard.

You be the judge
While Brian Sabean has gotten some sorely and partially deserved acclaim for his work with the 2010 championship team, he still sucks a fat one in general. My biggest complaint aren’t some of the contracts I’m about to list, but rather his refusal to trade Jonathan Sanchez this past off-season or before the deadline this year. This blog has constantly griped about Sanchez’s...

Zito carried off field
Barry Zito sustained what is being described as a significant injury tonight at Triple-A Fresno. According to Ellen Lazanne, a Grizzlies official, Zito twisted his leg while coming off the mound to field his position. He was helped off the field by trainers with an apparent leg injury. It’s possible Zito reinjured his sprained right foot, which has sent him to the disabled list twice this...

Injuries
Beltran hurt back of his right hand. Says he will take some hacks tomorrow, either in cages underneath stadium or during BP to see if he can go. Obviously he should play it smart since we need him right before we can seriously consider “streaking” the other way. Beltran said he heard some boos, but Baggarly says Beltran thinks it’s nothing compared to New York. His...

Hope for Giants fans
Thank god the day we’re looking to avoid getting swept, the pitching match-up is the diminutive righty from San Francisco versus the other diminutive righty from Philly and formerly Houston that he gets compared to all the time. But if you look at the head-to-head statistical breakdowns, Timmy more or less owns Oswalt in their six games. Over those six, the Giants are 5-1 in these stellar...
